Protese Involuntaria Band
Protese Involuntaria was a kind of conceptual punk/hardcore band co-created with Fabio Couto (Battery), Dinis Carrilho (Guitar) and André (Bass) he would later give way to Roberto Afonso) I was the Vocal Leader.
Between 2007 and 2012 we played all around Portugal but with the end of the University, the disintegration of the group and my departure from Portugal, the project was puted on standby.
During that time we recorded two albums: the first "Protese Involuntaria" 2008 and the second "A Mama Acabou" 2012 with Carlos Borges at the Bass replacing Roberto.
Here, you can access the Albums and some special projects like the One Year Band Documentary or the "Tira a Mascara" and "É Fixe" Videoclips, also available on YouTube like the rest of our video documentation.

ZÉ PINTOR COMICS
A Comics project created in May 2014 and developed for one and an half year between London, Uk and Corsica Island.
Zé Pintor (Painter Joe, literally) is a fictional character, characterized by his existentialist ideas. In his head runs a lot of various theories and weird despairs that we'll get to know through short Comics.
During this time, eighteen comics were created, as well as some special pages and extra drawings.

France PMU's 2013
PMU is the acronym for Pari Mutuel Urbain, an organization which manages betting on horse racing and other sports in France. By extension, the PMU is the place, often a café or tobacconist, where you can bet on sports and horse races. This series of paintings is the result of my life experience for approximately a year in the suburbs of Paris, where in addition to the hardness of the work, I was constantly confronted with this reality of cafes/bars where emigrants gathered around a coffee betting on everything, euromillions, football, etc., trying to get lucky believing that would free them from their prison that is the condition of slave and immigrant. These works were designed and executed for an exhibition at the LaClef cultural center in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
On a formal as well as an ideological level, it ends up reflecting the derivatives of my master's thesis and the "Football Matters" project and the problems pointed out to society in that period.

China One 2012
Work developed during the three weeks artistic residency at Sunhoo Industrial Design and Innovation Park in Hangzhou, China. The aim of the residence program was to create a space for artists and designers to go cross cultural borders, acquire knowledge about materials and designs in the region and exchange their unique perspectives, bringing diversity, knowledge and experience to the project and the region.
I took the opportunity to develop some quickly executed paintings (given the time), inspired not only by the strange landscape, neo-urban and under construction, as well as by larger symbols of Chinese culture, such as a painting of a plaster bust of Mao Zedong, or a painting of the classic red paper lamps.
In this project there was also a presentation at the Chinese Art Academy and the publication of a magazine.
