Trà Mare è Monti means between sea and mountain in corsican language and, it's also the name of one of the hikking routes that cross the island. For me, it's more than that, it's the relation between this two diferent realitys, Sea and Mountain and a kind of way to live in this island.

This project stemmed from an invitation by the commune of Arghjusta è u Muricciu to illustrate the salt pans of Porto-Vecchio, and from there derived, and continue to derive, the ideas linked to the Corsican landscape and the contrast between the sea and the mountains, horizontality vs verticality, between the yellows and ochres of the dry summer, the blue of the sea and sky and the green of the mountains.
